SShortly before the American civil war, a plantation owner and his entire family vanish without a trace. Their house gains an evil reputation and is believed by the locals to be haunted. Years later, two men seeking shelter from a violent thunderstorm stumble upon the derelict plantation house and inadvertently discover the mystery behind the disappearance of the building's former occupants.
