O ver a period of fifteen years, a young man has a recurring nightmare where he is staying at the home of a former schoolmate named Jack Stone, a person he barely knows. The dream has many variations, and ,over the years the people in the dream change, leave, grow older and even die. However, there is always one consistent element to the dream: Mrs. Stone always repeats the same words: "Jack will show you your room: I have given you the room in the tower."
